"Benefits that came with the blood of Jesus"

Ronald K. Powell, Ph. D., Th. D.

Pastor and Founder of

There are benefits that came with the blood of Jesus.

Some things have be done for you that God wants you to walk in. Jesus shed his blood and died for you to have them so they are yours. And as yours it's up to you to receive them and not look for God to give them. Like in Luke 15:29-31 in the parable of the prodigal son as long as he waited for the father to give him what was his he never got it. It was up to him to receive what was his.

I want to talk about some of the benifits of the blood of Jesus and how to walk in them.

1. You've been healed (1Peter 2:24).

2. You've been delivered (Colossians 1:13).

3. You've been redeemed from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13).

4. You've been given access into the holies of holies, the presence of God (Hebrews 10:19).

5. You've been made righteous (Romans 5:18,19).

6. You've been made kings and priest (Rev 1:6).

7. You've been seated with Christ (Ephesians 2:6).

Now, you can't be led by your senses or how you feel like in Luke 17:12-14.

Ten lepers came to Jesus for healing and He said to them "Go show yourselves unto the priest." In that day you only showed yourself to the priest after you have been cleansed. So what was Jesus doing, He was calling them cleansed. But, at the moment they did not see or feel any different but they still went. They put their faith in what Jesus said and not in what they saw or felt.

Now how do you walk in the benefits?

1. You must be conscious of them.

Psalms 103:2 says "forget not all his benefits".

You can't forget something that you never knew.

2. You must believe them. 2Corinthians 5:7 says

"For we walk by faith, and not by sight."

You walk in the things of God by faith like Peter walking on the water. As long as he was focused on Jesus he walked on the water, but as soon as he became afraid by focusing on the waves he began to sink, he stopped walking in the things of God (Matthew 14:28-31).

3. You have to speak in line with God's word.

Psalms 107:2 says "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so."

Joel 3:10 says "Let the weak say I am strong."

In Isaiah 45:24 it says there is righteousness and strength in the Lord.

So what is the word saying, if you are in a time of weakness speak strength (the strength you have in God). Notice the scripture says in the Lord there's strength so it's about speaking in line with the word and not your circumstances.

Isaiah 43:26 says "Put me in remembrance: Let us plead together: declare thou that thou mayest be justified."

Notice after you plead together God says "declare thou".

Declare thou what? The word you just brought to his remembrance so that you may be justified (proved right).

Well, didn't God say in Isaiah 55:11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it."

How is his word going to return to him?

Someone has to speak it.

So take the benefits of the blood of Jesus and walk in them.
