The Minyan Project has been featured in the Jewish Journal
Kol Ami is a participating synagogue in the Los Angeles Reform Minyan Project, a collaboration between 6 LA synagogues to offer a daily minyan to our community. In a move called both "modern'' and "innovative", the Minyan Project is answering a real need, one that has gone unaddressed for too long.
A minyan will be offered at Kol Ami every Tuesday at 6:30 PM. Our first one was this past Tuesday, February 2nd, with Rabbi Denise Eger. A full schedule is available at LaReformMinyan.com.

Kol Ami Book Club chooses Alice Hoffman's "The Museum of Extraordinary Things" as next read!
The next meeting is set for Sunday, March 13th at 2:30 PM at a private home in Studio City. RSVP for address!
Synopsis of The Museum of Extraordinary Things: In New York during the volatile first decades of the twentieth century, Coralie Sardie is the daughter of the impresario behind The Museum of Extraordinary Things, a boardwalk freak show. Coralie appears as the Mermaid in her father's "museum." One night Coralie stumbles upon a striking young man photographing moonlit trees in the woods off the Hudson River.
The dashing photographer is Eddie Cohen, a Russian immigrant who has run away from his father's Lower East Side Orthodox community and his job as an apprentice tailor. When Eddie captures the devastation on the streets of New York following the infamous Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, he becomes embroiled in the mystery behind a young woman's disappearance.
New York itself becomes a riveting character as Hoffman weaves a sizzling, tender, and moving story of young love in tumultuous times.
