Can you believe it's almost April? We're so excited for our 2nd Night Community Seder and we hope to see you all there. We also know you're currently planning 1st Night Seders with your families and wanted to give you some helpful tips.
Arm yourself with information. Start out with making a guest list and then save it for next year. You'll be sure to thank yourself later. Let your guest list determine the "feel" of your seder and the amount of food you'll need. Then prepare the menu and lay out a budget. These items will then help you create your to-do list.
2) Make food ahead of time.
Recipe ideas for Passover are endless and almost all the food will freeze well! This will free you up for preparing your home and yourself for the actual seder. Doing work ahead of time, instead on the day of, is the key to having fun at your own party.
3) Ask for help!
Great leaders are great delegators and people enjoy contributing to a job well done. Not convinced? Check out last year' s Pesach meal at the White House. You definitely need a team of people to pull off that level of presentation. If you're looking to compete with that, it'll be a family affair for sure!
After you make it through your 1st Night Seder at home, come relax with your friends at Kol Ami's 2nd Night Community Seder where all you have to do is enjoy!

ARZA: Representing Reform Judaism urgently needs your vote! Voting closes on April 30th, 2015.
If you care about the Reform Movement in Israel, if you support egalitarian prayer, if you believe in freedom of religion, the right of Reform rabbis to conduct marriage, divorce, burial and conversion, if you believe that women should have equal status, here is your chance to make a difference.
How much does your vote help? A LOT!
The size of the ARZA delegation in the WZO is a direct result of votes in the World Zionist Congress election. The more Reform Jews who register, and who vote for ARZA: Representing Reform Judaism the more ARZA delegates are elected, and the more money is allocated to the Reform Movement in Israel, and the more we can make a difference.
The WZO is a 50% owner of the Jewish Agency and therefore appoints 50% of the representatives to the Board of the Jewish Agency. In other words, the WZO plays an important role in making decisions on who is appointed to key positions in these organizations. Simply put: whoever has the largest number of representatives in Congress will set goals and have access to the centers of power and money.
