Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County joyfully welcomed Cyndi Hueth as our new Executive Director on September 15th. Now on the job for just a short time, Cyndi is working hard, in tandem with the board of directors and staff, to continue and even to improve upon the good work undertaken by our local Habitat affiliate. She is a dynamic, highly organized person who is already helping us to be more focused and keeping us on our toes. We are very pleased that she has agreed to help lead us.
I assumed the presidency of the board toward the end of July. Your board of directors had just completed a strategic plan for the next three years, so our Habitat team has some excellent but challenging goals to strive toward.
We are working toward the target of having 1,000 volunteers working with Habitat for Humanity Clallam County. There are so many positions which volunteers can fill. Rick Ferguson in the Store can always use more help. When we are building multiple houses, Harry needs plenty of workers to help with the actual building. Perhaps most important of all are the committee positions. We need people to serve on site development, family selection, family partners, resource development and faith/church outreach. These people will serve, after some orientation and training time, with staff and board members. As members of our Habitat family, please encourage folks you know to get involved!
You can sign up to volunteer on our website: www.habitatclallam.org., or stop by the Store and pick up a form. Jake, Rachel or Nora will be happy to help you.
With our mission of putting God's love into action, our local Habitat is bringing people together to build houses, improve lives in our community and give people hope. Thank you for all you have given to help make this mission a reality.
Blessings to you for your help,
