Dear Friends of Habitat,
There are big things happening at Habitat this Summer! Our new Executive Director takes the reins very soon and we begin a full-scale rehabilitation on a home in Port Angeles for a new Habitat family!
As my time in Port Angeles comes to a close I thank all the board, staff and volunteers who are so dedicated to creating affordable, decent homes for families in our area. I am overwhelmed by the passion for Habitat of everyone involved. I have greatly enjoyed the past eight months and I congratulate everyone associated with Habitat for making such a successful transition to a new and more successful future. Thank you for your dedication and commitment.
Sincerely,
Liz Heath
Interim Executive Director

Habitat Appoints New Executive Director

Introducing...... Dave Finley
Dave will be joining us on June 17 when he relocates from his current home on the island of Molokai in Hawaii. Dave is no stranger to the Northwest however. His background includes working as Director of Site Development and Construction at Habitat for Humanity in Tacoma. He has been Director of Single Family Housing at Kitsap County Consolidated Housing Authority. Most recently he has been Executive Director of the Molokai Affordable Homes & Community Development Corporation. For the past eight months we have been making the transition to a professionally managed nonprofit under the guidance of our Interim Executive Director Liz Heath. Heath will complete her work here at the end of June. "I am excited to become part of the Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County team, and I am looking forward to working with everyone in the area to help more families realize the goal of becoming first time homeowners," Dave said when learning of his selection. Welcome aboard, Dave!

Chase Mortgage has offered us the home pictured below as a very generous donation. As soon as the deal is finalized we will begin a total rehabilitation. If all goes as planned, we hope to start the project after the 4th of July weekend. Volunteers: If you did not receive an e-mail about the project, contact us to get in on the fun! Also in July, touch up work will begin on one of our homes on Campbell Avenue
so it can also be ready for a new homeowner, as yet to be selected. Still to come, the Maloney Heights development in Port Angeles and the Maloney Court development in Forks await new arrivals, dates of construction to be determined.
Stay tuned for more details!

Customer Service with a Smile
Linda Jadasohn, Habitat Store Volunteer since 2011

"Welcome to the Habitat Store. How may we help you today?" If this was the greeting you received last time you came to the Habitat Store, volunteer Linda Jadasohn was likely on duty. Linda goes above and beyond to provide top-notch customer service. And she never fails to have a smile on her face. In addition to her dedication to welcoming and serving store patrons, Linda also spends countless hours preparing delicious baked goods for employees and volunteers, as well as whipping up tasty and healthy lunches for volunteers on the construction site. As if that weren't enough community service, Linda contributes to TAFY bake sales, helps out with BINGO night at St. Andrew's Place, and has served as the treasurer at the Golden Craft Shop until they closed their doors last Christmas. Linda is one of our most passionate volunteers, and we cherish her devotion and commitment to our cause. Thank you Linda. We couldn't do it without you!
