Share Your Artistic Talents at Chalk It UP!
Artists, volunteers and coaches are needed for Chalk-it Up! Join us for a night of creative expression and a family-friendly movie on Saturday, Aug. 15. Participation is free but the joy your talent will bring is priceless. Artists will gather at 5 p.m. at the gazebo in Haggard Park. Your masterpiece drawings will unfold along H Avenue north to 15th Street. To keep things balanced, artists will be divided into three categories: professional, family and individual. The art competition ends at 7 p.m. Make it a family night by bringing your chairs, beach towels and food, or buy a picnic meal from a participating restaurant. In keeping with our theme, Disney Pixar's movie "UP" will be shown at 8:30 p.m. Register for the chalk artist competition and get the complete schedule for the night's activities at visitdowntownplano.com.
