New PHMG System Policy

  Scope:  This policy applies to all PHMG Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIPs) and Clinical Support Staff authorized by licensure and/or scope of practice to initiate patient care based on LIP orders.

Revised PHMG System Policies

• 701.44.4 Test Results in My PeaceHealth Revised Policy, formerly named "Test Results in Patient Connection."
  Scope:  This policy applies to all PeaceHealth providers, caregivers and other contracted providers caring for PeaceHealth Patients and using CareConnect.

   Revisions:

• Title change to My PeaceHealth from PeaceHealth Patient Connection, (per renaming of Patient Portal).  CareCast updated to new title: CareConnect (for Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Updated "Opt In" participation by providers to "Mandatory" participation by providers.
• Clarification of PH Provider Scope to include contracted Providers.
• Clarification of Nurse's Scope by adding "caregiver" to Scope Statement.
   
• 701.476.1 Scheduling Patients with a Primary Care Provider Revised PolicyScope:  This policy applies to all PeaceHealth Medical Group (PHMG) caregivers who have security access to scheduling modules in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Revisions:

• References to distinguish "hometown" PCP vs PHMG assigned PCP were deleted and the General PCP Exceptions (Section 3) were clarified.
