Roughly three months following the adoption of the daily management system, caregivers at our clinics in Longview are reporting that they have more of the tools they need to do their jobs well and are able to get quicker resolution when they run up against a hurdle.
That's why the medical group and top leadership within PeaceHealth are committed to Care Optimization. Care Optimization is what our organization calls everything that falls into the bucket of lean, which includes the daily management system (DMS). Read about DMS in Longview.
There is much improved communication across all teams and management, clearer accountability.
And this won't be limited to one part of our organization. A Rapid Process Improvement Workshop that recently happened in Northwest Network and a nearly finalized plan to help our inpatient partners align are putting more teams on their way to becoming better equipped for action.
Additional communities will adopt DMS and other Care Optimization tools in coming months.
Ultimately, Care Optimization requires buy-in from everyone. All leaders, caregivers, and especially providers, must be engaged in order get on and stay the course. Your network dyad leadership will communicate as your community progresses toward roll-outs for Care Optimization.
Where are we going? Think of a beautiful Red Ferrari stuck in first gear. Care Optimization will lead us through the gears so we can get this baby on the road and drive it with the high performance for which it was intended.
We will be requesting that all staff, leaders, and especially the physicians, be engaged in this work in order for us to remain on course. We will continue to communicate to the PHMG Network dyads on our progress in order for you to be ready for your area roll out. Stay tuned!
