Susan Vaughan, RN, MBA/HCA Director, Clinical Operations and Quality PHMG

In order to be the medical group of choice for patients and caregivers alike, caregivers need ground-level support. This is what you told us and it's why we are assembling an education team with caregivers based in each network.

We're interviewing candidates right now for the team, which will be made up of dedicated experts focused on providing the specific support needed. We want you to be successful, which in turn allows for the best patient experience.

The team will build upon the work of our clinical nurse educator, Sherri Benedetti. Sherri has made much progress by laying groundwork for competency development and communication about our policies, as well as for other areas.

With Sherri leading the work, the team will identify and address areas of opportunity by partnering with clinic operational leadership and the training team for Care Connect. The education team will consist of these roles:
  • Lead Clinical Nurse Educator - Sherri will continue to be based at the System Services Center in Vancouver.

  • Clinical Nurse Educators - Lead educational efforts in assigned network. Includes needs assessment competency development and validation, continuing education, and on-boarding.

  • Training Support Specialists - Workflow and process optimization, at-the-elbow support as well as content development for providers.

  • MA Educators - Workflow, process optimization, and at-the-elbow support for medical assistants.

  • Front Office Educators - Workflow, process optimization, and at-the-elbow support for patient access representatives.
We expect to have most of the new hires on board by the end of April. Needless to say, we're very excited to get to work providing the support you've asked for!

Thank you for all that you do each day to support patients!
