One of the things we heard as part of the caregiver and provider experience surveys last spring was to offer competitive compensation that reflects professional qualification and years of service with PeaceHealth.
Today we have great news to share with you - many PHMG caregivers (non-physicians) learned this week that they are receiving an upward adjustment in their compensation. These pay increases are the result of an analysis that identified caregivers whose compensation fell short of PeaceHealth standards. The analysis took into account pay rates for jobs outside of PeaceHealth, as well as a need to compensate co-caregivers fairly.
PeaceHealth's compensation philosophy is to align compensation midpoints to the 50th percentile (median) of market, and to align each caregiver to a level of compensation within the range appropriate to experience and service. This past week we communicated these adjustments to more than 650 PHMG caregivers, including but not limited to Medical Assistants, LPNs, Patient Access Representatives, and Clinical Coders.
Recruiting and retaining the best caregivers who support our providers' practices is one of our top priorities, and this improves our ability to do that.
Review of pay is an ongoing process. Many positions previously have been reviewed and we'll continue to review, identify, and consider others for future adjustments.
Thank you for all that you do!
