Dear Colleagues,
Last February I shared with you my rich experience as a physician taking part in our medical mission to El Salvador ("PazSalud"). I was given the opportunity to work with a great team of skilled people from many disciplines while serving a population that has virtually no access to health care as we understand it.
PeaceHealth is planning the next mission trip to be undertaken from February 14-23, 2015. This time it will be in Tamanique, an area we last visited in 2007. This will be the 15th year that PeaceHealth has run this mission and it is extremely well organized.
We are actively recruiting for physicians, nurse practitioners, PA's and optometrists to take part in this wonderful opportunity to give of yourself for those in great need. We will staff our general medical clinics (peds and adults), a gyn-focused clinic as well as an eye clinic.
If you specialize in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Geriatrics or Optometry, I urge you to seriously consider joining the PeaceHealth team in February. This immersion in a culture dramatically different from our own is a tremendous growth opportunity that you will remember forever.
If you are interested please contact either Kathy Garcia, the director of the mission trip, at kgarcia@peacehealth.org or myself at hgraman@peacehealth.org.
