Earlier this week, our new PHMG Family Medicine Clinic on the PeaceHealth Southwest campus opened its doors in Vancouver. Not only is this clinic a welcome addition to the surrounding neighborhoods, it also provides convenient health care access for our PeaceHealth caregivers who live near or work at Southwest Medical Center. Tim Schoonmaker, PA, is adjusting his schedule in the clinic to accommodate caregivers: starting at 7:30 a.m. and available during the early afternoon. When Jaime Warner, MD, arrives in early September, she will provide coverage through 6:00 p.m. weekdays.
Additionally, this new clinic is designed to promote team-based, lean care. It features several shared care team spaces, centrally located between exam rooms, for our providers and caregivers.
Please join me in congratulating PHMG Vancouver on this grand opening. And, if you're a fan of the TV show Portlandia, you will see the clinic on screen in January after the cast and crew filmed an upcoming episode on location last week. You may even recognize a few caregivers and providers as "extras" in the show.
