Our patients value having as few barriers as possible between themselves and their provider. Patient-centered care in the digital age allows us to meet our patients' needs while equipping them with tools to maintain their health and well-being.
Our online portal for patients, PatientConnection, is just such a tool. It is much more than a secure email delivery system. Patients can see test results, check their problem list and immunization history, request appointments and even view their vitals from past visits. We have a list of all features available to patients in PatientConnection. As someone with experience using this portal, I know it's easy to use. Dr. Lorne Bigley states it succinctly to patients: if you can use email, you can use the portal.
In short, PatientConnection empowers our patients to become more involved with their care, and in turn, this benefits us all. Though we recently concluded our PatientConnection Contest, I encourage you to continue to accelerate patient activations in our clinics. We've made great gains over the past several months and there remains much to do.
