Q&A
Question: If the Pulse Survey is confidential, why do I need to enter my initials and date of birth?

Answer: The unique identifiers for login are used only by HealthStream to ensure unduplicated results & incorporate pre-coded demographics, while still ensuring the confidentiality of the respondents. PeaceHealth is NEVER allowed to see individual responses. Your responses are confidential.

Doug Watson
This is my first opportunity to reach out to all of you, our providers and caregivers, in my new role as Chief Operating Officer and CFO of our medical group. I am excited to be able to serve our organization in this expanded role, having been our CFO for a little over two years. During those two years, I have had a chance to meet many of you and I look forward to working more closely with each of you as we continue our journey to a high performing medical group.

I started my career as a CPA advising integrated medical groups in Southern California that had started to accept risk and even helped one of them acquire their own hospital. Over the years, I have had the privilege of leading a health care technology company as well as being a partner in a number of consulting firms helping health care organizations improve and grow. I am excited about our opportunity here at PHMG for a number of reasons. Despite the turbulent health care industry and our current financial pressures with Epic and the ACA, PeaceHealth has a strong market position in most of the communities we serve. We are well capitalized to weather this storm and I believe that together we can create the path we have outlined in the PHMG Master Plan Strategy.

Fiscal 2015 will be the first full year where your Dyad leaders, along with your PHMG System team, will have full accountability for our performance and results. This is both a great opportunity and a great responsibility. We must be good stewards of the financial and human assets entrusted to us by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, as well as be visionary and creative as we invest in improving the quality of care, the access to care and the ways in which we deliver care to our patients.

As we end Fiscal 2014, it is critical that each of us look to ensure that we are doing our part to make PHMG successful. It's essential to our future to find opportunities to conserve resources and manage our costs, provide access to more patients within our current facilities, and participate in the day-to-day work that aggregates to a satisfied, loyal patient and to reportable quality statistics. The achievement of these things only comes through the incremental efforts of all of our providers and caregivers each day, one patient at a time. I look forward to helping you do that. It is worthy work.

Provider Experience
2014 Pulse Survey
Our online Pulse Survey currently runs through May 19.

This is a brief, confidential survey -- only 19 questions -- in follow-up to the survey in 2012. We want to know how you're feeling as a provider and how we're doing as a medical group. For more information, please read the Pulse Survey FAQ.

PHMG providers and Advanced Practice Clinicians received an email on April 28 with a link to log into the survey. If you didn't receive this invitation or if you need assistance, please contact Greta Beard or Pattie Washburn.

Password for survey: Your first and last initial and six-digit birth date, no spaces, no commas. Example: for John Doe born on January 1, 1969 = jd010169. (Please note the two-digit year for date of birth.)

Not a provider? The Caregiver Experience Pulse Survey is also open through May 19.
