PeaceHealth Physicians & Providers,

Dr. Howard Graman
Congratulations to our colleagues in the Northwest network on a few recent successes, including the announcement by two Skagit-area hospitals to explore affiliation with PeaceHealth, ratification of the local nurses' contract and the go-live of Epic over the weekend.

As we head into a busy fall season, I also want to say a warm welcome to the nearly 30 providers who have joined PHMG over the summer. Between June and late August, five primary care providers and 22 specialists have become part of the medical group.  (View list of all new providers.)

We--and our patients--appreciate the skills and talents these clinicians bring to the group and our communities.

Also, thanks to the recruiters and others who work so hard behind the scenes to bring our new providers on board. I look forward to giving more regular updates in this important area.

Performance Dashboard
PHMG Adjusts Metrics for FY14

Following is a list of changes to the VISTA dashboard for PHMG, effective for Fiscal Year 2014:

  • Patient Experience is changing to Provider Communication Composite - Adult Target=90.2% and Peds=90.9% (~1.5% improvement)
  • Productivity measure is changing to encompass more providers
  • Diabetes Bundle is changing per national standard to be released in late fall; adding back in exclusions will also drop the score
  • Panel size is changing to aggregate active patient count as proxy for growth (2% increase per year)

Look for the refreshed dashboard next month.
