PeaceHealth Physicians & Providers,
 | Dr. Howard Graman |
It has been another big week with the Oregon West clinics beginning to schedule in Epic. And Dr. Steve Gordon's Care Transformation team had a system-wide meeting to begin planning for Epic Enterprise.
It's also graduation season. With residents beginning or finishing their programs, I wanted to mention that Dr. Karen Sharpe will assume leadership of educational activities for PHMG, including medical student and resident rotations, oversight of our Family Medicine residency and establishing relationships with education programs to create a pipeline for new providers, among other things.
Next week promises to be just as eventful with continued progress of a number of initiatives, the Medical Group Leadership Team meeting on Friday and the Oregon clinics' launch of Epic on June 1.
We're all thankful for a well-timed holiday weekend.

Transition to New Portal, Numbers for Old
|
Since the go-live of Epic in Florence on May 1, we will now be tracking enrollment in three different portals until all of our clinics have rolled out the new system: 40,641 patients (16+% of 253,248 primary-care patients) are on the CE-based PatientConnection as of May 23, up 1,122 (2.7+%) from March.
6,841 patients (26+% of 25,998 primary-care patients) are on the RelayHealth-based SmartConnect as of April 30, up 202 (about 3%) from April.
998 patients (27+% of 3,600 previous portal users from Florence) have activated their account on the new Epic-based PatientConnection between May 3 and May 24. (The next round of PatientConnection activation letters are being mailed next week to the more than 11,300 portal users in the Oregon West network.)
