Opportunity through Education

Students learning about the new knitting machine
Vocational Training at Kiwimbi

Sewing is just one of the many vocational training programs offered or planned at the Library and Community Learning Center in Amagoro. In this program, students sew uniforms for the local primary school. Thanks to generous support from people like you, we were able to add a knitting machine this year so that our students are now in a position to make sweaters and thus create a complete school uniform!  Using this approach the Kiwimbi Tailoring program not only supplies the local school children with new, clean uniforms, but it also teaches a valuable trade.
