 Kiwimbi Art Exhibition

Kiwimbi brought 2015 to a close with an art exhibition in the museum room of the Community Centre. Local artists and illustrators from Amagoro displayed their work, which ranged from detailed pencil drawings, oils, mixed media collages and pastels to ceramics and clay works. Kiwimbi believes that art and culture enhance the identity, value and character of a community. Much of the wide range of art displayed will become a permanent exhibit in the Community Centre for all to enjoy.  Afterwards, a Kenyan celebration took place outside the Centre.  See pictures below.
 



For first-hand accounts of life in rural Kenya from the children's perspectives, check out our KAP collection.  Proceeds from the sale of these books support our efforts to bring educational opportunity to the community.
