We see a world where all people are empowered through education to enrich their lives and reach their fullest potential.
To achieve our vision, we partner with underserved communities world wide to create educational opportunities through locally run learning centers.
*****
Kiwimbi is in the process of establishing its initial such Learning Center in the small town of Amagoro, Kenya, where we have created the first public library in Busia County and are beginning other programs to bring our vision to life.

Kiwimbi Global is comprised currently of two entities: Kiwimbi International, a US organization registered as a charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; and Kiwimbi Kenya, a Community Based Organization established in the Teso North District in Kenya. Ultimately, our goal is to replicate best practices from Kiwimbi Kenya elsewhere, creating more organizations under the Kiwimbi Global umbrella.

Giving Tuesday
|
There's Black Friday, Cyber Monday and now there is Giving Tuesday! The retail industry has long benefited from seasonal shopping that symbolically kicks off with "Black Friday" - a day that has since inspired "Small Business Saturday"
and "Cyber Monday." #GivingTuesday, then, serves as a celebratory, fully connected day to kick off the giving season, when many make their holiday and end-of-year charitable gifts.
Please consider making a tax deductible donation to Kiwimbi International on Giving Tuesday, December 2nd.
Donations can be made through our website
or just press one of the orange buttons in this email.

Kiwimbi International
Thanks You

Given that it is November, Kiwimbi International would like to offer a warm THANK YOU to all of its supporters, both near and far. Without your generous help, Kiwimbi would not have been able to provide the resources necessary in order to fulfill its mission in Amagoro, Kenya.
Providing educational assistance to children and aiding adults in learning a life long skill are integral aspects of Kiwimbi. Your donations helped put a book in a child's hand and heart, and also provided that child with endless future opportunities. It is Kiwimbi's hope that you continue with us on our journey. Once again, THANK YOU.

Kiwimbi International offers a special THANK YOU to the following individuals:
Clement Gelly and Julian Nebreda, students at Columbia University, who gave weeks of their time this summer in Kenya working with our teachers and thrilling them with the link to American youth. The result? skill development not only in English, but also in public speaking and various exciting programs to make our camp programs even more effective and appealing.
Radu Leon (and his wife Lucia and son Luca) for running arts classes in Amagoro for two weeks, then using the work to raise awareness and support in Venice: Check out LeonRadu.com to see samples of Radu's own work.
Nick Patrick for many of the photographs on our website as well as upcoming videos. You can connect with Nick at facebook.com/NickPatrickCinematography.
Maggie Rathgeber for her time working with teachers at KCA University and the Kiwimbi teachers to help them assess students and develop techniques to improve outcomes.
Carol Ulmer for her organizational skills before, during and after the trip to Kenya and for the donation of the very first sewing machine, which has jump-started our Vocational tailoring program.
And last but certainly not least, new friends of Kiwimbi, John and Jessica Park, who provided enough funds to the organization to purchase more sewing machines and fund our vocational sewing program for a full year. We anticipate that, with such a kickstart from Carol Ulmer and the Park family, this program will be paying for itself in no time!
