The Florida State University Coastal & Marine Lab Workshops
REAL FLORIDA: PHOTOGRAPHY WITH REX ADAMS
Workshop Description:
The Philosophy and Artistry of Photography
The exploration of the visible spectrum is Rex Adams's passion. Having grown up on the
Great Plains of Kansas and Nebraska, where the wheat fields seem to stretch as far as the infinite sky, he often searches the Florida coast for open spaces that will allow his vision to travel as far as his imagination. The coast and salt marshes of Florida are often the very places where Adams accesses the memories that fuel his creativity.
This workshop will include:
  • Discussions on photography and
    art philosophy
  • A preview of Rex's work
  • Field work at sunset for shoot
  • Dinner break and working on student photos

Class limit:  12 people.

Bring With You:  a DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera, tripod, laptop, and something to eat for dinner.
