Joey Reynolds rose to fame as a Top 40 radio personality in the 1960's and 1970's, amassing huge audiences wherever he worked. And did he work in a lot of places! Joey has been on all major markets throughout the United States, pioneering broadcasting like no other. 

His outlandish stunts on and off air earned him a string of accolades too numerous to list. He is often regarded as the originator of shock jock radio, garnering widespread publicity for his antics. Once he played Sherry by the Four Seasons for hours on end, locking himself in the studio until the police were eventually called to stem the hysteria. Joey was a friend to Frankie Valli and the rest of the group ever since.

The list goes on and on, from music to talk radio to Joey being the focus on a two part Oprah Winfrey Show. But Hugh's main interest in Joey's chat revolves around his opportunity to bring four, then unknown, performers to Buffalo. Who was to know The Beatles would break into America on the Ed Sullivan Show just prior to what would have been the Buffalo gig?
