As I write to you, I'm winging my way at 35,000 feet from New Orleans to Atlanta, having just come from the Visiting Nurse Association of America's annual conference. Having started my consulting and speaking career in home health care with the VNAs, it's a real joy to stay connected to the free-standing not-for-profit home health agencies across the country.

 

Because these agencies are so connected to their communities, and because they provide huge amounts of care for low income and no income patients, they are in a critical position to be influenced by the forces and trends that are shaping the future of home health care in America.

I can't wait to get my copy to find out what the over 700 response survey revealed to us this year.  The email from JC says "This year's study has proven especially insightful, particularly in the areas of recruitment & retention, and has led us here at Home Care Pulse to unofficially refer to 2015 as "The Year of the Caregiver."
