The Results Are In...to The Manager's High Performance Survey

If you recall, a couple months ago we posted about our friend and colleague, Linda Swindling, JD, CSP, who is working on a new book "The Manager's High Performance Handbook".  Linda asked if we could help by posting her survey to gather input.  Well, the preliminary results of the survey are in and we're happy to share them with you.

 

93% of the respondents have management experience, and the survey looked at all industries, including home care because of input from our readers. The results provide great insight into ways you can help drive high performance in your company at every level.

Differentiation by Creating a Specialty Program

Are you looking ahead to 2015 and trying to strategize about how you can differentiate your company from your competition?

 

You've heard us say it many times that based on our research, creating specialty programs and services is a great way to do just that.  There are about 20,000 home care companies in the United States (independents, franchises and affiliates), so that means there's a ton of competition out there for home care services.  However, not all home care companies take the time to develop a program that can serve a specific population, which allows you to then market those services to a specific set of referral sources.

At Leading Home Care and Caregiver Quality Assurance, we are very excited to be working with PeopleClues on an important project to help answer this question.  We are working together with PeopleClues to help them create a success benchmark for home care owners which will help to ensure individuals closely match the culture and specific talents necessary to be successful in this role. In this study, we want to look at the behavioral styles and cognitive abilities of home care company owners. Then we want to analyze the data to look at the styles and abilities of the highest performing owners.
