A recent update from the Home Care Association of America gives you some new informationabout three new legislative activities taking place in Washington DC that could affect your Home Care business.

Senate Bill (S.1687) to Address Worker Misclassification

On Nov. 12, 2013, Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) introduced the Payroll Fraud Prevention Act of 2013 (S.1687), which is meant to help ensure that employees are not misclassified as non-employees. The bill has already struck very partisan tones with some Republican Senators defending the rights of independent contractors.

For Rapid Growth, Automate Everything You Can!
Over the years, we have observed that the private duty companies that grow the fastest, are the largest, and the most profitable, are those that put in place people and processes to create efficiency.  When your business operates efficiently, effectively, and consistently, you have the opportunity to focus on growth.

We're huge fans of automating as much of your business as possible.  You need an effective scheduling software system that matches clients to caregivers and referral sources.

Capture the Caller: Turning Inquiries into Admissions in Private Duty Home Care
By Barbara Akst

Capture the Caller

Research conducted by Barbara Akst during mystery shopper audits shows that most home care companies do a poor job of answering the phone and turning callers into clients.  Too many callers slip away, never to be heard from again.

This book is designed as a user friendly guide for you and your team to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities to turn more callers into clients.  It will help you dramatically increase the conversion ratio of inquiries to admissions.

The purpose of this eBook is to grow your business.  Make it easy for your customers to do business with YOU!  Help your caller decide immediately - as soon as you answer the phone - that your home care company is right for them.  WOW them with the first "thank you for calling."
