Name It!
What would you be willing to do to attract more repeat customers to your retail location? What would you give to have stronger business relationships? Would you like to put a smile on your customers' faces?
How you ask? Call them by name, from the first time you meet them and each and every time after. Something as simple as learning someone's name can make a big impression, especially if you've only met him or her once or twice and have long periods in between interactions.
Click here for a quick, fun video on tips to remember names. (There is a short 30-second ad first. Refill your coffee. It is worth the wait!) If your short-term memory is good, but you fear you will forget names long-term, put a note in your smart phone. Make sure and review it before your next gathering with that group of people.
I call everyone 'Darling' because I can't remember their names.

Product Profile: Mercury Mosaics
Custom made from start to finish , Mercury Mosaics, located in Minneapolis has one of our designers practically salivating when a sample package arrives. Their gorgeous colors and creative patterns are intriguing enough. The icing on the cake? The free textures they add to the tiles, which add another level of dimension and take this cool product and elevate its hip factor even more. Their talented team of tile makers all have artistic backgrounds, and with good reason. These aren't your normal tiles, they are works of art, or as they like to say: "Handmade with love in Minneapolis, Minnesota."
Check out their website to learn more about their process, from concept, to creation, to packaging and shipping. They are passionate about their craft and, apparently strong coffee as well!

Next Retail Rally Event October 1st
We're having a Retail Meetup that is all about fun! Socialize and network with other independent retailers at our first happy hour event taking place on October 1, from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the cool, new Rail Hall in historic Walker's Point. Entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, cash bar and plenty of time to learn and share with other indies await you! Share your retail story in our video booth. Our past Rallies have had great turnouts with lots of positive feedback. Hear what one attendee had to say: As I wrote in my survey, there was nothing I would have changed. Even as an "outsider" to retail, I have 3 pages of notes...things I can implement today and dream about for tomorrow. In fact, I will be going into a meeting shortly this afternoon, and will use some of the ideas the speakers talked about. I can't wait for your next gathering. You set the bar high...real high. Almost untouchably high!
Jeanne Marketing Director Partnership Bank Space is limited, so sign up today. Click here to register. We'll see you on October 1st!
