Just Kid-ding!

Strollers, curious toddlers, napping newborns...parents often shop with more than just their wallets in tow. Savvy retailers know that keeping kids happy keeps mom and dad happy. And happy parents are more likely to keep shopping, and, hopefully, make a purchase.
Here are some retailers that make the most of family time. Enjoy the increased sales that can result when all members of the family are kept engaged and entertained.
Batten down the hatches! While their parents cook up ideas of what spices to purchase, little mates can color at a fun, festive space designed just for them. When they are done, they can put their masterpieces on display for all to see.

Main Street Makeover
Last month, Lyn Falk attended the Wisconsin Downtown Action Council's annual "Community Visit" in downtown Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. (visit our Facebook page to view pictures). Bob Duffy, Oconomowoc's Economic Development Director, and associates, detailed their ten-year process to rebrand and revitalize the downtown area. Highlights included a discussion of the city's downtown business loan pool whereby business owners can apply for a one-percent loan through First Bank Financial Centre to make improvements or open a new business. Streetscape and crosswalk improvements, along with a new community center have created a buzz that has attracted others in downtown revitalization positions who want to tap into the successes and challenges of Oconomowoc's journey. Have you been to Oconomowoc lately? You may be surprised. Click here to read more about what they've been up to via www.livinglakecountry.com.

Product Profile:
Varia Ecoresin Play Ensign
We love this new translucent resin panel from 3form. With a variety of colors and patterns to choose from, 3form promises "to make your space pop with intrigue." We couldn't agree more. We are just itching to utilize these gorgeous panels that are playful, fun and full of personality! The best part is the love that goes into making them, and the love that goes into supporting the workers that do just that. The Ensign product is made in Ndem, Senegal (Western Africa) by artisans who use hand looms, hand spun yarn, and vegetable dyed fabrics. 3form's Full Circle program connects these women artisans living in some of the most remote places in the world with a market for their skills. It is a philosophy of giving back and using sustainable materials to create unique, functional design pieces.
