Display Tip

If you're displaying a glass product on a glass shelf and you don't have to worry about light shining through to a shelf below, place a piece of fabric or a placemat under the glass product. It will attract attention and keep the customer focused on the product.

Mannequins used to be only for displaying collections and drawing shoppers in to stores, but not any more. The EyeSee Mannequin, by Almax and Kee Square, is doing much more. Coming from Almax, a world-known trademark in the production of mannequins and display forms, they understand the importance of attracting attention but also the importance of gathering data to assist in reaching your target market.

By using tiny cameras placed in the mannequin's head, this new product allows retailers to gather information from shoppers. These cameras are connected to software that analyzes the facial features of people and provides statistical and contextual information, which can be useful in achieving a connection with your target market.

Product Profile:

We're floored by some of the new products on the market, some of which we think your customers may enjoy underfoot. Betona has a flexible concrete tile out that is strong, absorptive, slip resistant and stain resistant.  From wood-grained looks, to peacock feathers, to colored stains, we think you'll enjoy the possibilities.

First Retail Rally creates buzz!

Kim I Love that Display!
Retailworks Inc. and our lively little division: I Love that Display! showcased our talents at the Retail Rally last month.

The first Milwaukee Retail Rally was a great success! Over 75 retailers attended and were treated to appetizers, drinks, door prizes, speakers and lots of retail brain power in the room.

Held at the newly renovated historic Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Downtown, retailers were able to share their visions of the future of Milwaukee retail.

Along with Visit Milwaukee, the WWBIC, and Local First, we are already planning the next big event which will take place in April.

Retailworks' Service:

We like to fabricate stuff...

Well, to clarify... we don't actually fabricate all that much, but we have a team that does. We couldn't live without our fabricators, Larry, Jimm and John and their assistants.

Fusion Bar

Our "wood apostles" as we often call them, have been bringing our designs to life for the past 17 years. Wood is but one of their specialties. They work with just about every material and finish a design firm can dream up.

They are perfectionists, always on time, and they stay within budget. I can't recall them ever saying "no" to fabricating a design of ours - no matter how crazy we have gotten.

Who Knew?

The Feet Follow the Eyes

Did you know that strategically locating focal points throughout your store will lead a customer effortlessly throughout the space? If you have a dead corner or a department that doesn't get noticed as much as you'd like, it's probably because you haven't effectively lured your customers throughout the store.

The feet follow the eyes, so strategically placing key focal points such as an elevated display, an illuminated sign, or a video playing on a flat screen, will have customers shopping and stopping where you want them to.

Place an attention-getting focal point every 15-20 feet and watch how your customers change their shopping behaviors. You'll be surprised how well this works!

  Outpost

We enjoyed hosting an Open House for Outpost  Natural Foods last month where Mequon co-op owners got a sneak peek at proposed plans for their very own Mequon location.

As Outpost continues to inch their way through the approval process, we've been assisting with the overall design, layout and color and finish selection.

Late spring, 2014, can't come too fast for many Mequon residents, including us. It's going to be a wonderful, healthy shopping experience! Outpost also announced last week that they will be opening a cafe at the Rite-Hite Family YMCA in Brown Deer in mid-April.
