November 2013

Greetings!
Thanks to all who visited us during our "Free Inspections" promotion in October. Now it's time to prepare for the hectic holiday traveling season.
'Tis the Season to be Proactive
The time between Thanksgiving and New Year's means holiday traveling for many of us, ramping-up road use considerably. Our winter weather here in coastal

Connecticut can make that difficult. Nonetheless, we need to be out shopping, or taking road trips, or ferrying house guests to events and attractions. With that increased reliance on our vehicles, it's time to address season-specific concerns and schedule regular maintenance.

Winter-Specific
Winter conditions, and driving in chilled air, bring some

unique challenges. Under the hood, we should inspect antifreeze level and dilution, and windshield washer fluid level (ensuring the contents are freeze-proof proprietary fluid). Also check battery post connections are both clean and tight, and that plug wires should show no signs of aging. Around the exterior, tire tread and pressure needs to be good, and wipers should be replaced.

Ongoing Care
Neglect can result in:
- Failure to start
- Risky vehicle behavior
- Roadside breakdowns
- Poor emergency performance
For all these reasons, it's imperative that even the busiest motorist keeps up a regular maintenance schedule. This is made easier with the fast, free creation of an online garage account. New and existing customers

can enter their vehicle information to start building a custom service schedule. Vehicle ownership becomes more economical and convenient, thus more enjoyable, and you'll get recall notices relevant to your vehicle, advisements when services are due. Plus, you'll always have access to a full record of services provided.
