LOOKING TO CONTRIBUTE YOUR OLD MILBY MEMORABILIA?
|
|
If you don't want it ... We DO!! Bring in your old yearbooks, sports jerseys, photos, posters, pom poms, letter sweaters, etc...where all will be displayed in the Alumni Room at Milby High School after the school reopens in 2016. At this time during the remodel, all our Milby memorabilia is safely stored away for future display.
Everyone will be invited to the school to view these memories from the past. Let's show the students how it used to be in the "good ole days." Contact Katie La Bouve for more information.

Alumni are behind him 100%, and have already donated through go fund me. Like always, when we have a buff down, we show support as a learning community. If you would like to support Coach Carlos Morales Cancer Benefit, please see Mrs. Bookman, Mrs. Harris-Cross, or any Milby baseball coach to purchase your t-shirt. HCR 35 Cowboy Hat . . .
Would you like to help this happen?
|

Well, a bit of good news!
Last June I approached Dr Marsha Farney, my State Legislator, about her sponsoring the Cowboy Hat as the official Texas headwear since, according to the Texas Almanac, the bolo tie and the cowboy boot were already the Texas icons in their respective categories. Last Monday (Jan 5), HCR 35 began its journey through the legislative process sponsored in the House by Dr Farney and in the Senate by Dr Charles Schwertner. I have been invited to address both chambers on vote day as the 'idea' person. It made the 10 pm news in Austin Monday night and I got called today by the Williamson County Sun for an interview. Stetson Hat Co in Garland has been notified so who knows where this will go.
Chalk up one more 'feather' in the Herd's cap, or maybe, Hat!
