If you're looking for a book for a school report about China or South Dakota, or you're just a junior travel buff, take a look at our country and state books.

They are now arranged alphabetically by the name of the state/country in their respective sections.  Books covering a broad slice of US or World history are also found in these sections, using the good ol' Dewey Decimal numbers.

When you want to take a trip around the world from the comfort of your favorite reading nook, head on over to
PAWS & THINK

Who is Paws & Think?

Paws & Think is a non-profit organization focusing on the at-risk community, both human and canine.

We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the community by using the power of the human-animal bond.

What is the Paws & Think Reading Program?

Reading Education Assistance Dogs members are registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handlers as a team, going to schools, libraries and many other settings as reading companions for children. Through R.E.A.D., the handlers are trained as skilled facilitators, prepared to help the child gain confidence, improve reading and communication skills, social skills and develop a love of reading. With the dog, handlers are able to shift performance pressure off the child

How can my child participate?

Register your school aged child here before the program date. On the day of the program, stop by the Children's Desk to sign up for a 15-minute time slot.

Special thanks to our generous partners!
