On Wednesday, December 5th, more than 140 KU alumnae, emeriti, and friends attended the Holiday Ladies Tea in the Multipurpose Room of the McFarland Student Union Building on campus. The Ladies Tea, which is celebrated twice a year, exists to bring together alumnae who graduated from KU prior to 1973, along with emeriti and friends of KU. For the past few years, the members of the Ladies Tea have been raising money to fund a scholarship for a KU student; more than 200 donors have now contributed to the scholarship. And at this year's holiday event, the first recipient of the Ladies Tea Scholarship was announced: Deanna Patrushev, a biochemistry major from Newmanstown, PA.

As part of the program for the Holiday Tea, Deanna read from the essay she had written in application for the scholarship, and spoke about what the scholarship meant to her. "Receiving this scholarship will help me be so much closer to attaining my dream of conducting research as a biochemist. I hope to someday find new discoveries that can have a positive impact on the world we live in. Although the journey will not be easy, I know that it will be worth it in the end." Attention: KU Delta Zeta Alumnae

Delta Zeta Sorority would like to reconnect with its alumnae of the Kappa Rho chapter from Kutztown University. We would like to hear from all alumnae that attended PA universities, regardless of where they live today. Please contact midatlanticdeltazeta@gmail.com or the Delta Zeta Headquarters directly at 1-800-6-ALUMNA (a toll-free call) and let Delta Zeta know your current address and email.

"Not for four years, but for life!" It's not just a saying. Being a Delta Zeta collegian at Kutztown University was only for a very short time period of time, in one small corner of the world. Being a Delta Zeta alumna means unlimited opportunities for friendship & sisterhood, service and enrichment not only across the years but across the miles. Right now is an exciting time to be a Delta Zeta alumna. Right now is an exciting time to re-connect with Delta Zeta! Do it right now!
