To get the most out of your Blount County Chamber of Commerce membership, we give you an opportunity to get involved with many events and committees. So check them out and find one that appeals to you.
SLOTS REMAIN FOR APRIL 30 BTAP CLASS
More than 100 people have graduated from this unique program. The program's objective is to increase regional tourism by inspiring frontline hospitality employees and volunteers to turn every visitor encounter into a positive experience. This class will inspire, train and designate you as a Certified Tourism Ambassador. Certified Tourism Ambassadors enhance their capabilities to: (1) listen effectively to visitor inquiries and respond courteously and professionally; (b) know a great deal about the Blount County and Smoky Mountain area - its attributes, features and attractions; and (c) answer the majority of visitor questions (or refer them to those who can). Once certified, ambassadors will be recognized and rewarded in a variety of ways and have the opportunity to renew their certification annually to ensure they stay current.
Register for FREE online until Friday, April 11 or email for more information.
LET'S GET OUT THE VOTE
Spring election day is just four weeks away. It's an important election for many county seats on May 6. Today is the last day to register to vote. If you know someone who hasn't registered, encourage them to do it. Early voting runs April 16-May 1.

REMEMBER WHEN
We'll stay in the 1980s again this week as Phil Collins' "One More Night" completes its two-week run atop the Billboard Singles chart this week in 1985. It was Collins' second U.S. number-one single. "One More Night" would be surpassed by "We Are the World" on April 13, 1985 as the No. 1 single.
