It's March 31 so that can only mean one thing. Tomorrow is April Fool's Day. Now there's not joke about this. Next Tuesday, April 8 the Chamber is holding another free (yes, free) seminar entitled "Take the 'Work' Out of Networking with Shari Strong."
It's being held at the Boys and Girls Club from 3-4:30 p.m. due to renovations at the Chamber office.
If you're heading out to the Spring Festival in Townsend May 2-3, be sure to buy your two-day parking pass online
for $10. It will save you $6 on the regular parking rate. Online orders will be mailed. Or, stop by the Chamber office and pick one up.
To get the most out of your Blount County Chamber of Commerce membership, we give you an opportunity to get involved
with many events and committees. So check them out and find one that appeals to you.
Don't forget about the first afternoon mixer
of the year next week, April 10 at Century 21 Smoky Mountain Realty in Townsend. Please make the short drive and join us.
We go back to this week in 1984 when Kenny Loggins' "Footloose" topped the Billboard singles chart for three weeks. It was the first of two number-one hits from the motion picture with the same name. It won a Grammy for Song of the Year (1985).
