BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF BLOUNT COUNTY NEEDS YOUR HELP FOR KaBOOM!
We need excited and eager volunteers to help prepare the playground site and/or participate in the playground Build Day. We need volunteers for various levels of work, ranging from working the registration booth to installing the playground itself.
We will need the most volunteers on Build Day, Sept. 21. But, we also need volunteers on a Site Prep Day, Sept. 19, and some standby volunteers for Sept. 20, if a second Site Prep Day is needed.
We venture back to the week of Aug. 19, 1978 when the Commodores topped the Billboard No. 1 singles chart with "Three Times a Lady." I bet you didn't know that the members of the group met as mostly freshmen at Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University) in 1968, and signed with Motown in November 1972.
