LOCAL LEGISLATIVE BRIEFINGS
Local Government leaders will discuss priorities, budget challenges and their vision for the future for your community. The briefings provide an excellent opportunity to strengthen and build new partnerships between members of the business community and local government officials.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS UNITE
Are you a young professional looking to connect with your peers? Well, you need to check out the BYLD (Blount Young Leadership and Development) group which is holding its monthly meeting on June 25 at the Smoky Mountain Brewery beginning at 5:30 p.m. Brewery (743 Watkins Rd, Maryville).

BLOUNT COUNTY UNITED WAY GAS DAY
Is your company interested in supporting United Way Gas Day but can't volunteer at a station? Gas Day volunteers now have the opportunity to double tips collected at this year's event, and they need your help! Money raised assists more than 50,000 Blount County residents every year. For more information on being a tip match sponsor, please visit www.liveunitedblount.org or call 865-982-2251 ext. 14. This year's Gas Day will be held on Friday, July 19.
 
LUNCH BOX SERIES: HEALTH REFORM UPDATE FOR EMPLOYERS
The Blount Partnership Lunch Box Series of discussions for business people has an upcoming discussion on June 28 about "Mitigating Risks in Your Business and Tort Reform Update" presented by John Elder & Taylor Williams of Paine, Tarwater, & Bickers, LLP. You don't want to miss this.
 
Cost for Chamber members will be $15. Non-members $25. The cost includes lunch.

The Smoky Mountain Classic combines the elements of the finest quality competition with the support of large enthusiastic crowds. It is played in a friendly, hospitable, down-home country fair atmosphere at the doorstep of the beautiful Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The nation's top teams are showcased at their best as they play for some of the most prestigious awards in the game.
 
The 2013 Smoky Mountain Classic is proud to be a part of the USSSA NIT series. Not only will a berth and points be awarded to teams participating in the series, but the highest finishing B & C teams will receive berths to their respective USSSA World tournaments.

The Smoky Mountain Tourism Development Authority has brought Blount County and the Smoky Mountains to traveler with it's travel app and Circle the Smokies driving app available on the Apple iTunes store. Be sure to get these free apps for maps, lodging, food and attractions.
