Wow, what a great weekend weather-wise. Hope you were able to enjoy with your family and friends. It's great time to be a Chamber member. Last week was the afternoon mixer at Mane Support and this week we have an Ambassador's meeting and Women in Business. Coffee Club at Courtyard by Marriott is next Thursday. Whew! That's a lot of networking opportunities.

Washington St., in Maryville from 9 a.m.-noon. Come learn how to get organized, save time, and simplify what you do every day when it comes to running business financials. VILLAMARIA AT MARYVILLE COLLEGE
Maryville College, in partnership with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of East Tennessee and the Blount Partnership invites you to attend a special gathering to celebrate and share details about the newly established " Villamaria at Maryville College."
The reception is Thursday, May 9, at 5:30 p.m. at the Clayton Center for the Arts Recital Hall Lobby. Refreshments provided.
"Villamaria at Maryville College" is the name of the initiative that will build and strengthen relationships with the Latino community, starting in the 2013-2014 academic year.
The goal of the initiative is for Maryville College to be the higher education institution of choice for Latino students and their families in East Tennessee. Its mission statement reads: "We will listen, we will learn, and we will serve our region to become the institution of choice for our Latino community."

The Smoky Mountain Highland Games are set for May 17-19 at Maryville College. This outstanding event is quite a colorful spectacle with Scottish food, athletes and outstanding musical acts.
H.O.G. RALLY VOLUNTEERS
The 2013 Tennessee State HOG Rally is coming to Maryville May 28-June 1 and volunteers are needed for the week-long celebrations, events and activities.
There are many events, activities, and places to serve during the rally week. The official website has information including the rally schedule and a request form to personalize volunteering for specific events, times, and dates.
If you're ready to make a commitment to help your volunteer committee make this an outstanding rally -- and enhance your Rally Experience in the process -- click on the "Volunteers" link and choose the days you would like to volunteer.
