We had an outstanding 93rd Chamber Annual Meeting the Airport Hilton last Wednesday. Thanks to our event sponsors Alcoa, Inc., Alcoa Tenn Federal Credit Union, Charter Business, City of Maryville and Multi Media Solutions. Check out the photos from the event.
The Blount Partnership is seeking proposals for its business Lunch Box Series. This will be a series of seminars workshops to benefit our members.
Lunch Box presentations and seminars can range in length from 1-1 1/2 hours, depending on the time needed to thoroughly cover the subject. The Series will be held on the fourth Friday of each month beginning April 26.
The application deadline for presentations is Friday, March 1. A committee of Chamber members will review the applications and select speakers on or near March 15.
To formally apply to be a Lunch Box Series presenter, please complete the application, including any supporting documents.
Volunteers are needed for the Smoky Mountain Highland games May 17-19 on the Maryville College Campus. If you are interested in helping out the Chamber at this event, please contact us.
Don't forget about the Chamber's Primetime networking event on March 19 from 4-7 p.m. at the Cooper Athletic Center on the Maryville College campus.
This Jimmy Buffet themed event is your best opportunity to meet many Chamber members from all sectors of the community in one location. You will be provided a display area, but instead of standing at your booth, like a traditional trade show, you can use this event to network and meet new people in the business community!
Here's what you get when you reserve your spot: 4 foot table top space for brochures/flyers, Opportunity to offer door prizes, Spaces are reserved on a first come, first serve basis

Whether you decide to have a table top space or not, come and network at the largest networking event in Blount County.
Volunteers are needed during this three-day event to join other Chamber members, staff and Board of Directors as they personally deliver 2013 member information packets. You can help out by calling on as many members as your schedule permits. If you, someone (or several people) from your business, organization or group are interested in participating, please contact Amy Lawson as soon as possible at [email protected] or call 865-983-2241. This is a great way to get out and meet some new Chamber members.
The Glenn Shepard Seminar returns to the Chamber on March 8. Last year was a sellout so you'll want to sign up early by clicking the link. This year's theme is "Be the Manager Other Managers Envy and Bosses Can't Wait to Reward."
