We had an outstanding crowd at the coffee club hosted by the Aiport Hilton last Thursday with nearly 100 people. The food was great as always. Check out the photos from the event. PRIMETIME This Jimmy Buffet themed event is your best opportunity to meet many Chamber members from all sectors of the community in one location. You will be provided a display area, but instead of standing at your booth, like a traditional trade show, you can use this event to network and meet new people in the business community! Here's what you get when you reserve your spot: 4 foot table top space for brochures/flyers, Opportunity to offer door prizes, Spaces are reserved on a first come, first serve basis To reserve your spot or sign up to give away door prizes by Feb. 11, please call the Blount Partnership at 865.983.2241 or email alawson@blountpartnership.com Whether you decide to have a table top space or not, come and network at the largest networking event in Blount County. OPERATION THANK YOU Looking for that extra kick to your business marketing plan? For $150 you can promote it during the Blount Partnership's "Operation Thank You," Feb. 20-22, 2013. Send us 1600 gift certificates, brochures or promotional pieces (not to exceed 8 ½"x11") and we will distribute them in the 2013 Chamber membership packets. The inserts should be delivered to the Chamber no later than 5 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6. Volunteers are needed during this three-day event to join other Chamber members, staff and Board of Directors as they personally deliver 2013 member information packets. You can help out by calling on as many members as your schedule permits. If you, someone (or several people) from your business, organization or group are interested in participating, please contact Amy Lawson as soon as possible at alawson@blountpartnership.com or call 865-983-2241. This is a great way to get out and meet some new Chamber members.

ANNUAL MEETING Finally, in case you haven't heard, a late scheduling conflict has prevented Gov. Bill Haslam from attending the 93rd Annual Meeting on Feb. 7. But the show goes on as Haslam's Chief of Staff Mark Cate and Commissioner of Education Kevin Huffman will be on hand to visit with Chamber members. Needless to say the pre-event networking will be awesome with 470 already registered. Have you seen what our newest Chamber member, Sam's Club, has to offer? Print out this certificate to get your $25 gift card when you renew or join Sam's Club. In addition, if you hold a ribbon cutting, Sam's Club will send a sheet cake to your event, complete with you company's logo. |
