President's Message
Dear Members,
As we enter into Fall season (finally), this is the time of year we start getting busy. School has cranked back up for the kids, holiday season is upon us, and the North Texas economy continues to thrive. Both a good/bad position for us working professionals. Bad that we now have to start thinking of traveling plans for the holidays. Whose house are we going to for Thanksgiving/Christmas? What's little Johnny want to be for Halloween? Where did 2014 go? Don't fret, there are still three more months to go. Being busy does have its advantages. Having work is good. Work stimulates the body and mind. There hasn't been a day I've come to work where I didn't learn something new. This can sometimes be stressful, it's also a good thing. But it continues to make me think and educate.
Speaking of educating, Engineer of the year and Young Engineer of the Year applications are on our website here: http://www.dallastspe.com/awards-nominations.shtmlPlease consider submitting nominations - DEADLINE for nominations is Monday, November 24, 2014.
