President's Message
Dear Members,
Well, I'm four weeks into my role as President and new employment and I've learned there is a lot I still have to learn. I've learned that changing the side of the desk you are on opens your eyes quite a bit. I've learned what a Polar vortex is, and there is such a thing as a record "Low High". I've also learned, never be too proud to raise your hand if you have a question or need help. To the membership, I'm raising my hand. I had a great response last month for volunteers. Thank you very much. I also wanted to let you know it's never too early to start working on E-Week. Our committee has already begun meeting and thinking about speakers and the overall presentation of E-Week. I'm reaching out to the members to expand our search for any other ideas on what YOU would like to see at this year's E-Week. Speaker ideas, presentation layout, raffle, any feedback you might have. It may seem like a ways off (February), but it's planning time now for our E-Week committee.
Along those same lines, if there are any interesting seminars you've been to recently and you think the membership would enjoy for our monthly meetings, please let us know. We are always looking for new and interesting topics to bring to our members. This month will our hosting Mr. Mark Bouma from NTTA discussing the Chisolm Trail Parkway.
In addition to our monthly meeting - TSPE Dallas is hosting the 3rd Annual TSPE Dallas Chapter Sporting Clays Tournament. If you weren't able to make it last time, I would highly recommend getting signed up. Early bird specials end September 6th for discounted sponsorship and individual rates. Spaces are limited.
Look forward to seeing everyone at a future event.
