Reduce your carbon footprint NOW!

The only lightbulbs we carry are from Greenlite. For the last two decades Greenlite has been providing low power compact florescent lights (CFLs) that we continue to sell for $1 each because large power companies subsidize these prices. CFLs are great for reducing power consumption, but a shortcoming of this technology has been that they are not compatible with dimmers and do not always work well in damp locations. CFL bulbs remain a good power saving alternative for lamps in your living spaces. Click on any Greenlite to see their story.

Now Greenlite has added a line of LED lamps, at the super low (also subsidized) price of $1.99 per LED. Most are dimmable and certified for locations with moisture. These LEDs consume around $1/year of power. WOW! Makes it worthwhile to take out all your incandescent bulbs, put them away for emergencies, or donate them to the Edison Museum

In stock now - Our regular line of CFLs for $1 each, PLUS...

LEDs at $1.99 per bulb.

6 watts, 450 lumens LED. Estimated energy cost* $0.72/year
9 watts, 830 lumens LED. Estimated energy cost* $1.08/year
6 watts, 450 lumens globe LED. Estimated energy cost* $0.72/year
4 watts, 330 lumens chandelier LED. Estimated energy cost* $0.48/year

*Based on 3 hours/day at $0.11/KWH. At this usage rate these LEDs have a projected life of 13.6 years for the chandelier and 22.8 years for the three other LEDs.

Change all of your bulbs soon. We are changing ours at the Creamery.
