Questions to Ponder?

During this year's meeting, we'll be gathering your thoughts on some of the questions that are at the heart of the work done by the Co-op's board and staff:

What can we be doing better at the Co-op?
Why does the Creamery matter to the community?
What I love about Old Creamery Co-op is...

And for those of you looking for ways to be more involved, we've got a variety of exciting projects and initiatives underway. You will hear about these from the Outreach Committee, and we'll be looking for member-owners to pitch in and join in the fun!

Anytime it moves you, we need to hear your answers to these questions and get your ideas about keeping our Co-op vibrant and viable. We'll share some of the responses we receive in this space and on our website. Always feel free to send your thoughts to GM@oldcreamery.coop.

From Member-Owners Jack Nelson and Jeanne Sargent:

To us, the Creamery is special because it is not only a local business, but also a co-op that supports the community in many ways. Because we can order in bulk or buy cases at a time with discounts, we are able to increase the kinds of buying we do through the Creamery. And as a result of asking staff about things that are not on the shelves, we have been able to encourage the Creamery to stock many more of the items that we buy regularly. This too has made all the difference in our ability to buy locally rather than needing to go to Northampton. Though small, the Creamery has a great ambiance and a unique warmth, thanks to the dedicated staff. It invites you to come in and "set 'round the cracker-barrel for a spell." This is another reason for us to feel fortunate to live in this lively community.
