Fruits and vegetables in the winter
We will have plenty of your favorite veggies and fruits available daily - along with those special seasonal fruits that are best this time of year. However, we are not carrying out of season items that must be flown in from very distant places. Both the prices and the carbon footprint are generally too high and freshness is a challenge. Look for delicious varieties of citrus coming from the US South and West. We continue looking into sourcing more of our produce from the East Coast to further reduce food miles. See this short video from National Geographic about food miles.
That said, if you are looking for something special and you are willing to pay the price please ask. We should be able to special order what you are looking for, we simply do not want to carry regular stock of these items.

Grace Hill Farm Wild Alpine Cheese is back in the specialty cheese case. This is a wonderful cheese with round flavors of grass, earth and a beautiful milky & nutty finish. Some call it Cummington Gruyere. We love its smooth texture and its perfect snackability, this is guaranteed to please even a fussy palate.
Remember to look above the cheese case for accoutrements for your cheese boards: Apricot Cumin Spread, Quince Paste, Hot Pepper Jelly, Stuffed olives and more.

The Old Creamery is pleased to continue its partnership with Notchview Ski Center in Windsor. This year we are supplying Creamery Made soups and Creamery Made Organic Granola to warm up and energize snowshoers and cross-country skiers.

GOT MILK!
Winter weather coupled with the Holidays has had us (and many other stores) running out of milk lately. We apologize for any inconvenience and we have further increased our order volumes. Mapleline Creamery and Highlawn Dairy both deliver on Wednesday morning; Crescent Creamery delivers on Monday and Thursday.
In addition to dairy products, feel free to call ahead and have us put aside products for pick up so you can be sure we have what you need when you make that Winter trip to the store.
