2014 Capital Campaign
At our annual meeting in the spring we announced a capital campaign in which we planned to ask our member-owners and supporters for up to $245,000. These funds will repay a $100,000 construction bridge loan, replenish the operating reserves we used for capital improvements last year, pay off start-up and renovation-related debts, and finish the planned renovations, including painting the building.
The support we receive from our community is just phenomenal! As of August 28 we had raised, or had commitments for, $127,250 of new loans and gifts. An inspired and incredibly generous community member offered us a challenge-match: this donor committed to match dollar-for-dollar every gift or loan delivered by September 30, 2014. Let this inspire you to make a loan or gift to help wrap up this campaign.
To provide a member-owner loan you must be a member of the Co-op as well as a Massachusetts resident. If you can consider a loan, send an email to yes@oldcreamery.coop and we will send you a prospectus right away.
Gifts can be made by anyone, member-owner or not, directly to the Co-op, or, if you desire to make a tax-deductible gift, please email yes@oldcreamery.coop and we will send you the information for a tax-deductible gift through the Cooperative Development Institute.
Not a member-owner yet? It takes $150, one time, to make that happen. Please consider this form of equity support.
We are painting the building from the bottom up to visually track the final weeks of our capital campaign. Help us meet this challenge by September 30, 2014, and have your contribution matched 100%.

Seriously Local Cheese
About a third of a mile from the Creamery there is a cheese cellar at Grace Hill Farm. Max and Amy who take care of business at this farm have been refining their cheese-making processes for the last year and have recently introduced Grace Hill Blue. We are thrilled to be one of the first locations where you can buy this great new cheese.

Lift Your Local Spirits

Berkshire Mountain Distillers opened in 2007. They perform their craft in a converted cow barn in Great Barrington, Mass., and currently sell their products in 19 states. Purchase these great LOCAL libations at the Creamery. We are proud to add them to our shelves.
We look forward to raising a toast to the completion of our Capital Campaign on September 30.
