Cheese of the week
This weeks tasting cheese is Manchego El Trigal. Manchego is a DOP cheese, meaning it can only be made from the milk of the Manchega sheep which graze in the provinces of Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca and Toledo, all of which form the region known as La Mancha. Using same day milk Manchego is full flavoured, buttery and complex. Try some with fresh figs and some delicious Pinot Gris. We hope you'll stop in this Saturday and have a taste, we think you will enjoy it. Remember we'll take 10% off the regular price all day.

The Old Creamery Co-op Supports GMO Labeling
Massachusetts, along with every other state in the northeast, is now considering legislation to require the labeling of genetically engineered ingredients (GMOs). CT and ME already passed laws that rely on neighboring states to take action. Advocates in Massachusetts have until March 19th, 2014, to get some movement on proposed legislation, otherwise it will die in committee. Elected officials across the state need to hear from their constituents in large numbers.
Call your legislator to demand food transparency by visiting marighttoknow.org (and scroll down)
