Renovation Update

In our East lot the Co-op Big Dig is nearing completion. The top of the hillside has many local boulders placed to create a rather good looking retaining wall beyond where the new parking will be installed. All of these boulders were found on the property during our substantial excavation. Pete Marcoux of Cummington, who has been doing this work, recently learned from some Cummington old timers that many-moons-ago when the State built the new Route Nine our site was used to dump boulders from that project. This has clearly turned out to be our good fortune. The hillside above this retaining wall is finished and seeded. Pete and his brother Tom are finishing up the grading of the parking areas.

Meanwhile, down near the entrance Dario Coletta, our Stonemason from Plainfield, is hard at work (In this unseasonable heat) crafting our outside dining area. Come in through that entrance the next time you visit the store, we think you will be impressed.

Cheese of the Week

This weeks tasting cheese is Summer Snow from Woodcock Farm in Weston Vt. Woodstock Farm

Summer Snow, made by Mark and Geri Fisher is a soft ripened, bloomy rind, cool and creamy sheep milk cheese. It's somewhat like Camembert, with hints of mushroom a lingering flavor of lemony butter. (Yum) This cheese is only available during peak summer months. This cheese sounds fantastic! Try it on a water cracker with a nice chardonnay

Come in this Saturday and have a taste! Remember, we will take 10 percent off the regular price all day. Thank you!

Many items are on sale every week at the Creamery. Look for the brightly colored shelf tags. These items are 15%-45% off regular prices. We work hard to find bargains on many different items, including staple groceries, treats like chocolate, juices, refrigerated items, personal care products, and supplements. The shelf tags indicate when the sale price expires. Some sale items are one-time opportunities that remain on sale until sold out. Many are purchasing opportunities that can be replenished over several weeks at great prices. Enjoy the savings!
