Member-Owner Appreciation Day Is Just Around the Corner!
It's almost time for the Creamery Co-op's second Member-Owner Appreciation Day of the year! On Sunday, June 16, member-owners save 10% off most items in store, excluding alcohol, cigarettes, newspapers, and locally made arts and crafts. The store will be open regular Sunday hours, 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Every three months we give our members the opportunity to save big by stocking up on their favorite grocery and gift items. We'll also have lots of things on sale already, so come in and get appreciated! Don't forget to bring your shopping bags!

Cheese of the Week!
This weekend's sampling cheese is Mad River Blue from the von Trapp Farmstead in Waitsfield, Vermont. This raw organic cow's milk cheese is made by Sebastian von Trapp from his family's herd of primarily Jersey-breed cows and is named after the local river that courses through central Vermont. It's a natural rind cheese that's extremely creamy with mild blueing throughout for a sweet and milky flavor.
Come in Saturday for a sample! And remember, we'll take 10% off the regular price all day! Hope to see you this weekend!

Corporate Sustainability Is Not Sustainable
From Grist ("a beacon in the smog"): "Green initiatives are ubiquitous these days, implemented with zeal at companies like Dupont, IBM, Walmart, and Walt Disney. The programs being rolled out -- lighting retrofits, zero-waste factories, and carpool incentives -- save money and provide a green glow. Most large companies are working to reduce energy use and waste, and many have integrated sustainability into strategic planning. What's not to like? Well, for starters, these actions don't meaningfully address the primary barrier to sustainability, climate change." Many items are on sale every week at the Creamery. Look for the brightly colored shelf tags. These items are 15%-45% off regular prices. We work hard to find bargains on many different items, including staple groceries, treats like chocolate, juices, refrigerated items, personal care products, and supplements. The shelf tags indicate when the sale price expires. Some sale items are one-time opportunities that remain on sale until sold out. Many are purchasing opportunities that can be replenished over several weeks at great prices. Enjoy the savings!
