Cari italiani e cari amici dell'Italia,
L' evento e' collegato a Expo 2015, "Feeding the planet. Energy for Life", l'esposizione universale che verra' ospitata a Milano il prossimo anno.

Dear Italians and friends of Italy,
It is a great pleasure to present the November issue of our Newsletter to all of you. October was an incredibly busy and event filled month, as we celebrated Italian Heritage Month. I wanted to thank all of you for participating in such great numbers.
Among the numerous event set to take place in the month of November, I wanted to point out two very interesting events in particular. Firstly, a preview of the latest Ermammo Olmi film "Torneranno i prati" will be held at the Dante Alighieri Society to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the beginning of World War One. The movie will be projected on Armistice Day, November 4th, in 100 countries around the world. Shortly thereafter, on November 18th, the "Food of the future -Future of Food" seminar will be held. Speakers will include Fabio Marazzi (Board Member of Expo 2015) and Fiorenzo Omenetto (Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University). The event is linked to the 2015 Universal Exposition themed "Feeding the planet - Energy for Life", which will be held in Milan next year.
I would also like to take this opportunity to remind all Italian citizens, resident within this Consular district, that the elections for the renewal of the COM.IT.ES (Committees of Italians resident abroad) will be held on December 19th, 2014. The COM.IT.ES are elected bodies that represent Italian citizens and their needs in respect to their local Consular offices. The voting will be by correspondence but, unlike previous elections, the electoral ballot will be sent only to voters who are eligible, meet requirements of the law and specifically request to be registered to the electoral list on or before November 19 2014. For more information I invite you all to read the notice published below and to participate on November 9th to the COM.IT.ES election's informational campaign. (see below)
Good reading to everyone, I hope to be able to meet you soon at one of our various events!
