 HealtheConnections™, the RHIO of Central New York, is eHGTs Newest eHealth Connect� Diagnostic Image Exchange Client
Until recently, HealtheConnections™ subscribers were only able to obtain access to radiology reports, not images. This is currently changing for the RHIO's 15 participating locations. eHGT, in partnership with Axolotl, provides a service which enables the secure, complete, and simple exchange of diagnostic images.
"One click" access to diagnostic quality images will now be available to all authorized users connected to the HIE. This easy to use enhancement supports the casual physician and, yet, has a rich set of diagnostic imaging tools to meet the needs of the more image-intensive physicians. It will enable faster, more complete care planning and delivery as well as improved coordination of care. Most of the participating providers that produce imaging will be connected into the Image Exchange before the end of 2011. |

eHGT Advances its Hybrid Federated Architecture
eHGT continues to make strides in providing a state-of-the-art architecture for image exchange that best balances performance, functionality, and cost, making image exchange feasible for HIEs concerned about sustainability. eHGT's latest advances put more capabilities on the "Edge", and allow secure access to images from a facility within the context of a community-wide HIE, but at a small fraction (1 to 2%) of the bandwidth typically required.
This architecture is being utilized in the HealtheConnections HIE described above, and is especially beneficial for large sites that generate over a 1,000 imaging exams per day. User experience in gaining access to images within the HIE happen faster, and the provider of the imaging gets a configuration that better utilizes their resources and network infrastructure.
True image sharing in HIEs is rare today, but eHGT has been providing this capability for over 2 years and continues to surge ahead with advancements to its solutions that image-enable HIEs with diagnostic quality images accessible by "one click". |

eHealth Access Indexing - No More Flipping Through Pages to Find Pertinent Clinical Information 
Now physicians can receive fully organized and indexed outside medical records electronically. This will provide physicians with the ability to see their patients faster, quickly obtain critical diagnostic information and save valuable staff time.
Reports are fully indexed and organized, by date and type of report. Allowing physicians the ability to quickly and easily access and analyze critical clinical data.
