In Texas, Beaumont-Port Arthur was the fastest growing metro area, with its real GDP up 7.2 percent in 2013 vs. 3.1 percent in 2012. Our area ranked number 10 nationally and was one of only two Texas metros to see a faster pace of growth in 2013 than 2012.
